We are on the lookout for a talented Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a casual position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate who demonstrates passion, reliability, and a great fit for our team culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure the preparation of dishes is of a consistently high standard and aligns with Six Degrees’ creative direction.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth, efficient service.
  • Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy service periods including live music nights.
  • Assist with food preparation, mise en place, and kitchen organisation as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Contribute positively to team morale and support a productive kitchen culture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen – this is a must!
  • Working knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during high-volume service periods.
  • Passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and pride in the quality of your work.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends.
