We are currently seeking a skilled and qualified Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to bring their expertise, creativity, and passion to a high-energy venue where no two nights are the same.

✓ Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation, negotiable within the Federal Award based on qualifications and experience.
Plan, prepare, and execute menu items to the highest standard, in line with Six Degrees’ established recipes, creative direction, and quality benchmarks.
Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and culinary innovation in line with the venue’s direction.
Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and WorkSafe standards at all times.
Support kitchen team members during service, fostering a positive and productive environment.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency across all dishes.
Manage kitchen workstations efficiently, ensuring equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately.
Work effectively under pressure during peak service periods, including live music nights.
Liaise with front-of-house team members to ensure seamless and timely service delivery.
Assist with stock management, ordering, and wastage minimisation as directed by the Head Chef.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Trade qualification as a Chef – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent – this is a must!
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen – this is a must!
Demonstrated ability to maintain high food quality standards under pressure.
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and applicable WorkSafe legislation.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support kitchen team members.
Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
