We are currently seeking a skilled and qualified Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to bring their expertise, creativity, and passion to a high-energy venue where no two nights are the same. 

✓  Sponsorship opportunities available for 407 and 482 VISA. 

✓  Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation, negotiable within the Federal Award based on qualifications and experience.

  • Plan, prepare, and execute menu items to the highest standard, in line with Six Degrees’ established recipes, creative direction, and quality benchmarks. 

  • Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and culinary innovation in line with the venue’s direction. 

  • Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and WorkSafe standards at all times. 

  • Support kitchen team members during service, fostering a positive and productive environment. 

  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency across all dishes. 

  • Manage kitchen workstations efficiently, ensuring equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately. 

  • Work effectively under pressure during peak service periods, including live music nights. 

  • Liaise with front-of-house team members to ensure seamless and timely service delivery. 

  • Assist with stock management, ordering, and wastage minimisation as directed by the Head Chef. 

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

    • Trade qualification as a Chef – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent – this is a must! 

    • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen – this is a must! 

    • Demonstrated ability to maintain high food quality standards under pressure. 

    • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and applicable WorkSafe legislation. 

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support kitchen team members. 

    • Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail. 

  • Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
