We are currently looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor to join the team on a casual basis, with the genuine opportunity to progress to a permanent position for the right candidate.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in running day-to-day busy shifts, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the venue.
  • Lead, brief, and motivate the FOH team before and during service, maintaining high standards throughout.
  • Train new and existing staff in service standards, venue procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee and manage opening and closing procedures in accordance with venue standards.
  • Assist the Procurement team with stock management, including stocktake, receiving, and rotation of stock.
  • Handle cash, EFTPOS, and end-of-day reconciliation accurately and responsibly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage guest feedback and complaints professionally, with a focus on positive resolution.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with RSA requirements, liquor licensing regulations, and all venue health and safety policies.
  • Ensure the service area is consistently well-presented, clean, and compliant with food safety standards.
  • Drive revenue through effective upselling of food, beverages, and venue offerings.
  • Manage table reservations, waitlists, and seating flow during service in coordination with the FOH Manager.
  • Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure timely, accurate, and seamless service delivery.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, including managing the floor.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A current RSA – this is a must!
  • Approved Manager Certificate and Card – this is a must!
  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience as a FOH Supervisor OR a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Front of House team member who is ready to step into a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong and broad beverage knowledge, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and beer.
  • Ability to produce consistently high-quality coffee.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and reservation software (Now Book It experience highly regarded).
  • Experience with cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Sound understanding of RSA obligations and liquor licensing compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability on a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and evenings – this is a must!
  • A current Police Check is required prior to commencement to ensure the safety of our team and guests.
